Rehabilitation and conservation in Lisbon's historic center

The project consists of the conservation and rehabilitation of a building located on Rua de São Paulo, in Cais do Sodré, maintaining its existing use and ensuring its adaptation to the needs of an educational institution. The interior interventions are entirely non-structural, focusing on finishes and paintwork, with the aim of requalifying the spaces and adapting them to school use through the replacement of existing materials with equivalent solutions compatible with the new program.

In the outdoor areas, the proposal includes the rehabilitation of the existing spaces and the partial reorganization of the courtyard, allowing for the creation of a small playground for preschool children. This intervention adopts a light and reversible approach, without altering ground levels, relationships with the surroundings, public space, or existing infrastructure, reflecting a restrained and adaptable intervention strategy.
