Selected for “Habitar Portugal 9_11” by the Portuguese Order of Architects, in the Between Variation and Symbiosis category.
New-build project comprising two single-family houses, designed together and organized as two semi-detached units, resulting in a unified volumetric reading suited to the territorial context and the surrounding residential scale.
Despite its contemporary architectural language, the design of the shutters and shading elements recalls the importance of wooden filters in southern houses, creating a cool and quiet atmosphere through the pattern of light and shadow.
