An office building reinvented as a business school

The project consists of the rehabilitation and interior adaptation of a 1970s office building, composed of four floors, including one basement level, to accommodate the new functional program of a higher education institution. The proposal aims to adapt the existing building to the new programmatic requirements, ensuring functional clarity, spatial legibility, and an appropriate scale for the new uses.

The program is distributed across the different floors, with the areas of greatest intensity of use located on the ground floor and basement level, while the upper floors are reserved for functions requiring greater concentration, such as classrooms, lecture halls, and administrative offices. The intervention enhances the common areas and vertical circulation, introducing double-height spaces that bring natural light into the lower levels, forming one of the main architectural gestures of the project.

In Benfica, a 1970s building transforms into a contemporary campus, where architecture shapes the education of the future.
